Product Description
The Steel-Edge Reinforced Fiberglass GMT Pallet is designed for high-load brick factories that require extra strength and extended lifespan from their block machine pallets.
Manufactured with Glass Mat Reinforced Thermoplastics (GMT) and fitted with tin-plated steel edges, this pallet combines the toughness of fiberglass with the wear protection of steel. The steel edge can be added to either the short side or the long side, depending on clients needs.
This design significantly reduces edge cracking, surface wear, and corner damage, making it ideal for heavy-duty block machine operations and long-term industrial use.All brick types can be produced.
Advantages
Enhanced Edge Protection – Tin-plated steel edges prevent chipping and cracking, extending service life by 20–30% compared to non-steel GMT pallets.
High Bending Strength – Flexural strength reaches 70–75 N/mm², withstanding 10–12 tons vibration load from automatic block machines.
Extended Service Life – 10–12 years average lifespan, outperforming PVC pallets (3–4 years) and wooden pallets (2–3 years).
Superior Impact Resistance – Notched impact strength > 65 kJ/m², resisting vibration fatigue in long production cycles.
Heat & Moisture Resistance – Stable up to 100 °C curing temperature; water absorption < 0.5%, ensuring no swelling or cracking.
Customizable Steel Edge – Tin-plated steel edge available on short side or long side to meet different handling and machine requirements.
Universal Fit – Compatible with Zenith, Hess, Masa, QGM, ZCJK, and other block machine brands.
Key Disadvantages (with data)
Higher Cost – Around 15–20% more expensive than regular fiberglass GMT pallets due to steel reinforcement.
Slightly Heavier – Each pallet weighs approx. 28–32 kg (depending on size and steel configuration), increasing handling effort.
Not Always Necessary – For small factories with light vibration loads, non-steel GMT pallets may already provide sufficient durability.
